"All the times it is not" comes from a section of the book The New Analog by Damon Krukowski. I can say with confidence that I will never view analog clocks in the same manner.
Out of context it could possibly be viewed as a cute kind of "you can't put your arms around a memory" statement.
In context it's describing analog recording vs digital recording.
For me it opens up parallel worlds and make my mind spin out on what could be and what never was.
For one friend it reminded her of Mitch Hedberg.
