This mixtape is called I can't promise you that this will get better but I can promise you that I care

I remember being perplexed the first time saw the Modest Mouse album “This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About”. I didn’t think you were allowed to make an album title so long. Surely there had to be some rules about this.

A few years later I felt the same way about the band “...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead”. You can do it with band names too?! So many words!

I bring this up because I gave this mix tape a really long name.

One night when I was working on it I named the file “I can't promise you that this will get better but I can promise you that I care” because I was feeling some kind of way. I think I thought I'd change it but I never did.

When I start to overthink a particular aspect of these things I worry that I'm throwing up roadblocks. You know... some light self sabotage. Best to keep moving forward. Also, I must have written that sentence for some reason. Right?

So here you go. There is no Modest Mouse or …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead but there is a bunch of other stuff that you might love (or hate).
