When making Run For Cover Serena and I sat down together and shared cover songs with one another and I recorded the whole thing. I wouldn't say I did this with the intention of making a podcast but I certainly knew that something podcastesque might be a byproduct of the process.
When preparing to put our covers mix together I found that editing this recording first helped shape how the mixtape came together. During our conversation I felt fairly sure that I was going to put the songs in same order they were discussed as the process was such an interesting back and forth.
However, in the end I wound up moving nearly everything around. Once I'd made the decision to alter the sequencing this made the recorded conversation even more interesting. Then again I'm a stone cold weirdo...
On a production note (it goes without saying that) I really don't know what I'm doing. I've kind of sent myself down a GarageBand crash course over the last few months and y'all are subject to all my rough drafts. I've tried to create an audio mix where both the talking and music can be heard. Hopefully, you can find a volume that works for you. I'm still learning!
